how are you
Doin well. How about you?
I tried to write the round 3. So this one actually has like three kind of skills or events. There's swimming, cycling and running. Triathlon. This one also has different events. These ladies are skilled and also have a lot of artistry. They work with balls and ribbons. Rhythmic gymnastics. This sport is done on horses and they jump over obstacles and stuff. Equestrian. This one is in the sand and with a net. Two on one side, two on the other. Volleyball. The last one is also martial arts. It's not the striking like karate. They are like on a mat throwing each other down. Judo.
Well done! It's hard to write the transcript because we have lots of filler words (uh, um, like) and false starts. Under the pressure of a time limit, we're rushing with our descriptions, but we thought it would be a good listening challenge. :)
Sleep tight!!!
Thank you Jennifer. The playlist really helps me a lot. However, I would like to ask @9:34 why "would" can be used here for real conditionals about the past? Would you mind giving me an example as I think "would" should be for unreal conditionals.
Hi. The example in the video: I used to stay up late if a good movie came on. (a real, habitual behavior in the past) Also possible: I would often stay up late if a good movie came on.
I have trouble with stress. I know at the stress word we can go high or go low, but I don’t know how. Because I think about the stressed syllable in the word. I mean if the word I want to stress have 3 sylables. And the stress if the first one. So If I go high that mean the second and the last sylable is higher. It seems like i pronunciate this word Ưởng. So could you teach me that.
A stressed syllable means your voice generally gets louder, your pitch is higher, and the stressed vowel sound is longer. (Louder, higher, longer) I have some short videos that might help. Here's one. ruclips.net/video/n9ZmifTSHDo/видео.html
HOLA hermosa y tu vesito 😘
It was awesome! Jennifer. Take care!
Thanks for watching! Take care.
In last videos. You drop a symbol intonation on the screen. It hard for me even I watch all the playlist. And I think it is hard for many people just watch these video.
Do you mean the arrows? You may like other formats. instagram.com/reel/CgCOv5-AXOC/?hl=en ruclips.net/video/n9ZmifTSHDo/видео.html
6:05 In the dialogue, with the question: "What is your last name, please? ". You use fall-rise intonation. But does it possible to remove the please and still use the fall-rise intonation.
In general, falling intonation is used for wh- (information) questions. Context is key. Facial expressions also play a role. Fall-rise patterns can sound more formal, but using fall-rise on "What's your name?" could also come across as playful and possibly flirtatious.
Hope I Visit You One Day in the U.S Will You Welcome Me 💜❤️🥺🥺 maps.app.goo.gl/8J5XnbCMcesiYvuX9
Boston is a fun place to visit.
Wouldn’t that be amazing? ( falling intonation). I know this is a compliment. But could you explan the meaning. Is it good or bad?
As long as you're not sarcastic, you're commenting on a possibility, and you think it would be a very good thing if it happened.
thxxxx for you
Thank you for watching the recording.
Nice Russian 🌷
Thank you. 😃
Great lesson!

Ha ha. We used what was available at the time. This was Natasha's son's room. The wall could be used as a chalkboard. We later switched to a small whiteboard.
